Huxley
Nolan

At just 3 years old, when other kids where playing at the park and riding trikes around, Huxley had different ideas.

Living on acreage on the Gold Coast, it would not be a surprise to find Huxley out the back yard with a rope tied around one of the dogs while they towed him around on his balance bike. He wanted to be different, he wanted to do things he saw on tv and being young didn’t faze him. While riding a PeeWee was the norm, Huxley enjoyed his KTM Mini more. He couldn’t touch the ground, he could barely touch the pegs, but he wanted to ride around on his KTM, the same bike that Toby Price and Cooper Webb rides.

At 4 years old going to the snow, he didn’t want to go into Kids club, he wanted to go to the top. So a deal was made that if he could learn to ride to the bottom, he could ride each day with us. Fall after fall he would get back up, because he wanted to reach the bottom. The execution of what he was being asked to do was the issue, however it was the determination in his eyes that was special, he would continue to try and try until he succeeded.

Fast forward to 5 years old and Huxley really wanted to race. He saw Chaz Mostert, Toby Price and Cooper Webb winning trophies and he wanted the same.

Going to the race tracks on the weekends to ride, he isn’t interested in riding the kids track, he wants to be on the adult’s track, he wants to beat older kids.

Over time he has collected a bunch of KTM replica Minibikes; a Cooper Webb model, Ryan Dungeys, and of course a Toby Price replica. They all sit on his bedside table. But there was always a plain KTM bike there. One-night Hux asked for a permanent marker and wrote 212 in the number plates. He placed it next to Toby and Coppers bikes and said 'one day I’m going to have my own kids bike like Toby and Cooper.'

Sure is a good dream for a kid to chase.
